The type 4 cylinders are made from a HDPE plastic liner with full composite wrapping.
Raufoss is today offering a design with a proven record in the market for more
than 10 years that has been sold under the brand “Tuffshell” by Lincoln Composites.
Another product concept under market testing currently has been specially designed
for mass production, which is important to avoid “chicken and egg challenges”
facing this industry today. Low quantities means high costs, and higher quantities
leads to scale advantages in production and lower costs per unit.
